If you’re a video creator, you know how hard it can be to earn an income from your craft. In this article, we’ll explore some options for earning extra cash with your video content.

1. Create a YouTube channel

Creating a YouTube channel is the most common method of monetization for video creators.

To create a YouTube channel, you need to follow these steps:

  • Make sure you have a Google account. If you don’t have one, then sign up at https://www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount.
  • Visit the “Create a channel” page on YouTube and click “Create Channel” in order to get started with your new YouTube business.
  • You’ll need to decide on a niche for your videos before you start producing them. You can read our post explaining what a niche is if you’re not familiar with it.

2. Join a multi-channel network

A multi-channel network (MCN) is a company that partners with you and your channel to help you grow. You benefit from the following:

  • A revenue share. When your videos earn advertising revenue, the MCN will take a cut of that money.
  • Marketing support. The MCN will help you promote your content online so it reaches more people and receives more views and subscriptions, which leads to more money coming in.
  • Training and education on how to make better videos, such as editing tutorials or webinars on monetizing YouTube videos through various platforms like Merch By Amazon or Patreon donations.

The downside is that most MCNs take 50% of what they make through ad revenue sharing agreements; this means half of what you earn goes straight into their pockets! So before joining an MCN ask yourself: do I want all my hard work going towards paying someone else instead of me? If so then this might be right for you!

3. Sell products

  • Make sure you have a good relationship with the company you are promoting. You want to portray yourself as someone who advocates for this product and would recommend it to others.
  • Don’t over-promote a product. This is a big one! If you’re constantly shoving products down your viewers’ throats, they will turn away from your channel and find another brand that better aligns with their own values and interests. Instead of pushing too hard on one particular product, give other options equal time (even if it means only mentioning them once or twice).
  • Don’t be afraid to turn down offers to promote a product you don’t like. If something doesn’t fit with your values or isn’t what people might expect from you, then don’t sell it! The point here is not necessarily about making money but being true to yourself as an individual who has something valuable to offer online video fans everywhere

4. Become an affiliate partner

One of the best ways to generate income from your videos is by becoming an affiliate marketer. Affiliate marketing is when you promote products and services on your blog, in exchange for a percentage of the sale if someone buys something through your links. The product or service provider will pay you when they make a sale based on your promotion.

There are two main ways to find affiliate opportunities:

  • Look for companies with products or services that match up with what you talk about in your video content (e.g., dog lovers could promote dog food).
  • Find companies that offer free trials and then use those free trials as part of a video review/tutorial series (e.g., “How To Use [Product]” videos). You’ll also want to provide helpful information on how people can access their trial, since this can be confusing for some people who aren’t used to doing things online!

Once you’ve found some companies that provide good matches for what you’re interested in reviewing or talking about, contact them via email (using one of their contact forms) and ask if there’s any opportunity for partnership between yourself as an influencer and them as a brand!

5. Become a brand ambassador

A brand ambassador is someone who represents a brand and acts as an advocate for it. This can include things like reviewing products, helping to shape product development, and interacting with customers via social media.

Brand ambassadors are usually paid by the company whose products or services they promote (in other words, you don’t get paid by YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram).

To be a brand ambassador, you must first build a loyal following and a positive brand image. These are taken into account when setting compensation rates for these kinds of brand collaborations.

6. Create a Patreon page

If you have a following or can build one, consider creating a Patreon page. This is the most direct way to earn money as an Internet video creator.

A Patreon page is where fans of your videos can become patrons and pledge money on a recurring basis to support you, usually for exclusive content. For example, if someone pledges $5 per month to be a patron of mine and I make enough from this patron tier alone, then I will be able to quit my day job and make all my income off of creating videos!

The best part about Patreon is that it’s an easy way to get paid directly by your audience in exchange for providing them with value: access to exclusive content, early access to new episodes etc…

To create an account visit Patreon’s website. You don’t need much information when signing up so just choose username/email address and password (and bio) then click signup button below form box under “New users?”.

Another site that works the same way as Patreon is Buy Me A Coffee, where followers can donate to you for the price of a cup of coffee. It’s a more fun way to ask for support from your followers.

There are a lot of ways you can make money with video, but it’s important to start laying the groundwork now.

Creating a YouTube channel isn’t as easy as it sounds, and it takes time to grow an audience that will watch your content regularly. That’s why we think you should start today! Research how to set up a channel and begin creating videos that you would like to watch yourself—make sure they’re entertaining and informative so people will want more from you in the future.

Once you get started, don’t forget about all these other avenues for making income through videos!
