5 Ways To Make Money From Your Writing Skills:

one way to earn money through your writing skills is affiliate marketing in a paper with content plan

1. Building a website and engaging in affiliate promotion.

One of the simplest ways to make money writing is to become a blogger and promote products and services on your blogs.

To begin your blogging career, you need a domain name and a self-hosted website.  These items are available from hosting companies such as Namecheap, Bluehost, and GoDaddy.

I use Namecheap to purchase domains and hosting for my website. A domain name can be purchased for as little as $9 per year. Easy WP offers WordPress hosting for as little as $3.88 per month.

In addition, you should sign up for affiliate programs like Clickbank, Amazon, or Involve Asia. Sign up on Involve Asia if your target market is Asia.

You can search for affiliate programs that you can promote and can earn you some commissions based on the niche of your site.

2. Facebook Instant Articles

Facebook’s Instant Articles are yet another option for you to profit from your writing abilities. You can also apply for Facebook’s Instant Articles monetization tool if you already have a website.

You can establish and expand a page with the same name as your blog. You can link your website and Facebook page for Instant Articles if your page is approved to be eligible for them.

When Facebook places sponsored ads on your articles, you’ll make money from Instant Articles. You will receive a portion of the revenue generated by those ads for Facebook.

Just a reminder that there is a minimum readership requirement in order to apply for Instant Articles monetization. There must be at least 1,500 visits to your website each month from Facebook

3. Submitting Content to Websites Like Hubpages

You can get paid to write for some websites. They are also called guest blogging.

Just be aware that guest postings may be compensated or unpaid. To increase traffic to their blogs, some writers may accept unpaid guest posts.

Many websites offer payment for guest posting. I won’t list them all here, but if you Google them, you can find some excellent opportunities for guest posting. For my own writing, I only contribute to this Hubpages website. You can view my profile at this link.

4. Become a freelance online copywriter for others.

Finding clients who require copywriters and working for them online is another approach to make money with your writing.

Online job boards like Upwork, Fiverr, and People Per Hour are just a few places you can locate these copywriting opportunities.

Unfortunately, these types of freelancing services deduct a portion of your earnings, which significantly reduces your earnings.

Another approach is by simply introducing yourself to forums and groups that are recruiting or looking for copywriters. You can bargain your prices through this method and might end up making more money.

5. Create an Ebook, Then Sell It.

You can also write and sell your ebook if you are a competent writer.

Ebooks are excellent lead generation tools for bloggers and people who develop courses using their expertise. It’s also a fantastic method to build your brand, authority, and competence in your industry. Ebooks are also simpler for people to use or read.

You can create your ebook in a Word document or perhaps on a publishing platform like designrr.io or venggage.com that makes and customizes ebooks.

The next step is to sell your ebook so you can start making some money.

There are some websites where you may upload, sell, and advertise your ebooks. Feiyr.com, and payhip.com are a few examples of these websites.

Just keep in mind that a platform may deduct a portion of your profits or that you may need to pay a membership fee to sell and promote on their sites.

You may also sell your eBooks on Fiverr and, of course, on Amazon Kindle, the largest digital publishing platform.

If you’re looking for a platform where you can create and sell ebooks all in one place, you should look into blurb.com. You can create and customize your ebooks at blurb.com, and then sell them on the same platform. Less work, especially for newcomers.

So those are the five ways you can start making money with your writing skills. It’s now your turn to take action, explore any of these options, and profit from them. Happy writing!
